Using Pipelines for Image Processing

DGGS are well suited for the application of image processing and image algebra as a means to extract knowledge.  As co-registration is a relatively free operation on the DGGS, multi-source fusion based processes hold particular value. The natural Gaussian convergence of the ISEA3H, its closely packed properties, and its fine changes in resolution provide optimal for frequency segmentation processes. Pipeline processes that exploit these features form the basic elements to build more complex image processing as demonstrated in Multi-Resolution Spatial Analysis Process (MRSAP).
